Online Quote Information

We have listed below some important information you will need to consider before you submit your request for a quote online - this will help us to provide a more accurate estimate. If you do not have answers to anything, just tell us the information you do have - we can always update the estimate later. This page provides you with more information on what's required and how you can send this to us.

1) Request a Quote online form:

Existing Windows: On the online enquiry form, you will be asked what your existing windows are made of:

	PVCu
	Hardwood
	Steel
	Aluminium
	Box Sash vertical sliders (These are often found in older properties and slide vertically instead of opening in or out. When replacing these windows there is usually extra work and charges involved in removing the wooden boxes around the frame that house the pulley systems.
	Dormer windows are usually set upright in a sloping roof and will require extra trims or liners around the inside and  outside of the frame

Extras: If any of the following are required you can add these to the additional information box:

	Bay Windows - is any room a bay window? If so, count the number of segments as a bay is made up of individual designs.
	Trickle vents can be attached to the frame at the top of the window to provide ventilation when the window is closed. They are compulsory on all new buildings.
	Toughened Glass is required if the window is lower than 800 mm from the internal floor or adjacent to a door. ( compulsory by law)
	Fire escape hinges allow windows to open further than conventional friction hinges and therefore provide a better means of fire escape. Must be specified to bedroom locations)
	Bay Windows - is any room a bay window? If so, count the number of segments as a bay is made up of individual designs.
	Child restrictors are attachments to large openers preventing them being opened far enough for a child to climb or fall out. They can easily be disabled by an adult to allow the window to fully open.
	Low threshold strips are available on single and French doors to allow easier access by reducing the step.
	Door restrictors are useful for outward opening doors to prevent them slamming shut in windy conditions.
	Window boards are the inside sills that attach to, but are not part of the window. They need only be replaced if they are damaged or you want to change them.
	Brickwork removal in square metres.
	New Lintel required
	Any other works.

2) Measurement Form:

This is the simple form that you can download from the Request a Quote page and then upload to us when you fill in the page form. You can specify the following on the measurement form:

Style: Select a style from our design library.

Measurements:  Provide us with simple measurements for each window or door location.

Colour: Select the colour you would like for the product.

	White is standard
	If dual colours are required  (e.g. Rosewood / White) the window will always be white on the inside
	We of course offer foiled effects inside and out in oaks, mahogany, rosewood, cream & white

Glass type: Select the glazing option you would like from the following options: All products will be priced with Standard double glazed Low energy sealed unit. Please specify:

	Obscured glass
	Georgian design ( Rectangles or single bars )  in between panes of glass
	Georgian design ( Internal rectangles or single bars )
	Leaded Lights; ( Diamonds or rectangles ) Applied both sides of sheet 1 glass The glazing options can be applied to the whole window or just the top or bottom section of a window (where appropriate)
